Hi Deborah.
Thanks for that link.
I've viewed as much as I could of Charles Reid on youtube - mainly ads for DVDs - but I haven't seen that one. I'll check the internet to see if it's available here in Australia.
I've just got out a photo of my husband to work on next. Preparing the drawing is the tedious part, but it needs to be done.
Are you currently working on anything?

Hi Deborah,
I've checked out Charles Reid and Janet Rogers websites. Their portraits are amazing. I definitely like the loose style that still looks real. I'm so inspired that now I'm looking for people to paint, using photos. I have put a portrait of my daughter in my album which was done a couple of years ago. It was my first real attempt. Jenny

Hi Deborah
I love what you've done with 'The girl in the hat". Did you use a photo or live model?
Have you seen Ted Nuttall? He does amazing watercolour portraits.

Wow - I need to really watch spell-check! Your flowers are amazing - I love the looseness of your technique! Hopefully, I will be able to take a workshop in the near future:-)

Hi Deborah
Thanks for adding me as a friend. I am new to this and am having a hard time trying to figure out this website etc and how to write messages. Your paintings are beautiful. How do you find the web classes. I am wanting to sign up for the poppies class but I am worried I won't be able to find them on the site. Is the class worth taking and is it easy to get it off the computer.
Thanks Sherry

Hi Deborah,
I have loved loosening up. The poppies you've painted are really gorgeous, I especially like the yellow ones. I haven't yet started to experiment beyond what Michelle has taught us. I hope I can develop something that's mine, not just a copy of Michelle.
